Authentic Cards in sets?

My most recent order finished yesterday, and I was able to put my cards into their sets, but I had two cards that recieved "Minimum Grade" I'm assuming that's just the Authentic grade. However, I can't put them in my sets. When I've tried to put them in, they don't show up.

I know it takes away from the overall rating grade, but I'd like them to be listed in my sets, as at least a place holder until I can upgrade.

Anyway around this? Thanks.

I believe "Minimum Grade" means that the cards did not meet the Minimum Grade that you put on the submission sheet and therefore they were not slabbed.

looks like psa didnt slab them. if they have a grade or authentic you would be able to add them to your sets,

Thanks. I know what dealer I got them both from, I'm curious to see why they didn't get graded, as I thought they were descent cards. But as a newer collector to grading and mailing in cards, I'm still learning what cards I should buy raw...at least with them in the original holder, I'm hoping i'll be able to return em from where I got them from.

    Appreciate it guys!
  • Just because they did not meet the Minimum Grade does not mean they are not the "decent cards" you thought they were.
I don't believe it is appropriate to return them just because they didn't meet the "Minimum Grade" of a 3rd Party grader.

That depends on what the minimum grade he asked for was, and how the dealer represented them.

If you call the card MINT in a listing, and it doesn't get graded when I ask for a MG of 5, there is a problem. If you guarantee the card will get a certain minimum grade and it doesn't, there is a problem.

Sounds like you asked for a minimum grade, totallyradd. If that's the case, resend without any contingencies and then you can use it as a placeholder.

They're two 1955 topps cards. Humberto Robinson and Jack Parks to be exact. I've been collecting Milwaukee Braves cards, and sent in the team set together. All the others came back as 5's, 6's and one 7. These two were sent back as minimum grading with a MC qualifier on them.

    39 1 20849956 MINIMUM GRADE 1955 TOPPS 23 JACK PARKS
    48 1 20849965 MINIMUM GRADE 1955 TOPPS 182 HUMBERTO ROBINSON

I'm still learning a lot about grading as I've only been back in collecting for a year, so maybe there's some ignorance on my part? I didn't add a submission grade that I expected. The three times I sent in cards I've just had them submitted as is. I felt these would grade as 5 or 6 like the rest of the set. Maybe it was the MC?

I'm really not sure what happened. I've had cards come back because they didn't meet the minimum size requirement but never this.

Side question: I have an Al Kaline rookie that I sent in for just the authentication because it looks like it's been recolored. It's not in great shape by any means but it hasn't been run through spokes or anything either. That too was sent back due to the evidence of recoloration. I called PSA and they told me I can send it back and they can clarify why they wouldn't even give it an authentic grade.

I just hate feeling like I threw away 16 bucks on grading when two of the cards I'm not sure exactly why they were sent back, and the other I thought would be slabbed without a problem.
