I didn't see the show, but I just went to the list. I did not look at the entire list, but one thing I found a little strange.

Just looking at the pitchers ... Sandy Koufax was not in the top 10. (Clemens, W. Johnson, Maddux, Young, R. Johnson, Seaver, Matthewson, Gibson, Ryan, Pedro Martinez).

If you take PED's out of the equation (which they did), I thought the list was fairly accurate.

I was absolutely shocked to see Joe Morgan at #20. Wasn't he ranked higher than Joe DiMaggio? That is an absolute joke.

I was glad to see Pujols in the top 20 at #19.

Taking PED's out of the equation, I thought Sammy Sosa should have been WAY higher. The only man to hit 60 HR in three seasons.

I thought the top 5 were dead on. From memory, I think it was Ruth, Mays, Bonds, Williams, and Aaron.

I thought Foxx, Hornsby, and Lajoie were all too low. Musial, Arod, and Joe Morgan were all too high in my opinion. I would have put Cobb a little bit higher than 6 as well.

I obviously pay more attention to the Cardinals because that is my favorite team. I could not help but notice the glaring omission of Lou Brock. He wasnt even in the honorable mention.

You think Bonds is #3 taking PED's out? I argued that Bonds had incredible stats before PED's in a thread not that long ago but #3 all time I don't know. There was a lot of users fairly well positioned on the list IMO.

From what I can tell, it was a 3 man committee that determined the list:

By saying "taking PEDs out of the equation" I did not mean "the players ability minus PEDs". What I meant was to take the players career and stats at face value withou factoring in PEDs. If you do that then Bonds is most definitely in the top three and may even be ahead of Mays. Also, Sosa would have to at least be in the top 30.

Switch Boggs and Gwynn around. Gwynn at 60 is pretty bad

Eddie Murray at 65 and Cal at 31 should have been flip flopped. I loved Cal but he wasn't a good enough hitter to be 31.

I agree. Always thought Ripken was overrated. If he played 155 games a year and didn't have the "streak" he wouldn't be in the top 75

I love Cal and grew up watching the O's in the 80's and I fully understand how all the intangibles got him in the top 100 but I don't agree with top 31. It would be hard to find another hitter in the top 31 that had as many average hitting seasons as Cal did.

I was only using hitter as opposed to pitchers, let me change it to say FIELDER for you.

I like Cal Ripken Jr and think he was a great player and a great man, but the only way I could have him in my top 30 would just be if we were ranking the most popular players of all-time.
