Test for a bent Morgan Dollar?

I have seen several slabs with coins listed as bent, I have also had one of my coins designated as bent by SEGS. I cracked out my coin and the coin seemed normal, it laid flat on a marble counter top and there was no evidence of uneven wear that would indicate the coin was bent.

Does anyone know what kind of test the grading companies do on a coin to determine if it is bent?

coins can be bent with the rims not bent. bent doesn't mean the entire item automatically. it could be concave or warped. also it isn't specified (to my knowledge) where the problem is on the coin(s).

some TPG terms encompass words with similar meanings.

If it looks bent when viewed from the side or when sandwhiched between two flat surfaces, or spins on either side when placed flat that usually does it for me.
Pretty hard to bend a Morgan though. Most of my bent coins were 3cs or half dimes.
