What're the chances my package was stolen?

I sent out a package December 6th, 2012 from Princeton NJ USPS priority to PSA. I was an idiot and wrote "Professional Sports Authenticator" on the package instead of my usual "PSA". Anyways, the package was supposed to arrive on the 8th. Here is the tracking info:

It looks to have departed a sorting facility last Friday and hasn't been scanned since. Hopefully I am just being paranoid, but it seems like an awfully long time between scans for a priority package.

I insured the package for $2,000.. but I would much rather have the cards. Either way, USPS is really dropping the ball.

Thoughts?

Probably not stolen. Best bet is machinery destroyed your package beyond recognition of intended recepient or sender. Since your package was insured that would have been noted on the package and I don't believe someone would steal it and risk losing their job. I had a package of over 100 PSA graded cards dissappear from Jersey City. Recently I got an e-mail from PSA that someone wanted me to release some of them from my registry. Then I saw some of them on ebay. I contacted the seller who explained he bought many lots from the USPS and resells. At least you had insurance, you are obviously brighter than I am.

I would normally say not stolen, too, but over on the PCGS coin forums, it was discovered that several coin submissions were stolen on their way to Newport Beach apparently by a postal employee as a couple of boxes were discovered but without their contents. I would contact the post office immediately, as the thefts are under investigation last I heard.

They don't always get scanned like they should. Have had that happen myself. Call PSA first and see if they have it. They'll be able to look it up by the delivery confirmation/tracking number.

I have had that happen where the PO did not scan the package as delivered but when I called PSA with the DC# they confirmed receipt. I have also had the opposite happen where my DC# showed dlvd but when I called PSA they had no record of the box. Fortunately, the sub was logged in eventually.
