Got another tough Walker - 1920-D

I'll retake the pictures when I get the coin in hand. This one is a PCGS VF-30, has the look I like. I really don't see this date in VF on up very often; I did see a slabbed PCGS XF-45 recently, but it was way too white for my taste.

In my experience the 1920-D WLH in VF is tougher than the 1921 WLH in VF. Good find.

Eric-----I see that you decided to get the very fine. You can always resell this piece if you find a better one. The 20D is somehow overlooked until one is actively seeking it. Then folks are forced to understand it's true value in the set. It's an important slot to get filled. Bob [supertooth]

wow. that coin is outstanding. Early walkers are often too lite or dark or have distractions on the rim or field since they really were work horse coins in there day. The OP's coin is simply a perfect coin for the grade the color and surfaces are outstanding. This coin is one you know is all there at a glance , very good pick up.

Great looking coin in a tough to obtain condition! I would generally grade this coin VF20+/25, but I think the lack of damage and nice surfaces bumped this one, which is deserving. These are TOUGH in VF and above, and more pricey and one might think (about like original condition better date Seated Quarters above F). I agree with TomB > "In my experience the 1920-D WLH in VF is tougher than the 1921 WLH in VF"

    Nice pickup for your set!
