Sure. Most posts in the Autograph forums are by people looking for information about the items they have purchased, usually with the "strength" of some worthless papers, or some items they just bought on eBay. The results is almost always the same. Only 1 person has responded to the fulfilled requests they have posted. As for buying and selling actually happening in here - I have sold several rather scarce items in here from signed Dr. Seuss books to a superb Joan Crawford SP and much more - as well I think as my Forum pal Pete who also has fine material. I do not like to sell to folks who need certs and can't authenticate anything for themselves. My stuff is guaranteed for life, but I try to get buyers to learn a few things to protect themselves.
What do you buy/sell/collect? How long have you been doing this?

    Best wishes,
    Eric

I agree with Eric. Familiarize yourself with whatever genre you collect or know who you are dealing with.

It is a shame that more collectors don't make use of this site. There could be some valuable exchanging of information going on that could only help all collectors.

I think you guys misunderstood what I was referring to.
I was wondering why the BUY, SELL & TRADE - AUTOGRAPHS forum looks dead.
    Not a big deal, thanks.

  • OK. It looks dead because most are dealing and buying fake modern fad sports autographs with heavy (misplaced) trust in TGS's. And, most of these sales are going to happen on eBay, NOT in here where I for one can and will say "Hey! That is a forgery!" if warranted. I have sold here, Pete has sold here. It is not truly dead.
