Have not been available through normal channels for about a year. Seems they quit making them.

Correct. Such a bummer!

Barry

I was never convinced they worked.

I did not like the open wording of the supposed to be guarantee and the fact that the boxes themselves had no manufactured date on them.
Only ones I ever had were given to me.

I remember hearing somewhere that they went out of business because of the fact that they do not work.
That is all I know, for whatever it is worth.

Of course, they worked. The were made with technology from Lucent.

They definitely do not prevent spots/toning on slabbed ASEs

this is a meaningless comment if you have an understanding of how the product works. understanding that the problem with the ASE's is contamination of some sort from the Mint, something which is on the coin itself inside the slab, the Intercept Shield protection prevents something outside reaching the inside but does nothing to anything already inside. it is a barrier.

I worked at Lucent when they made this stuff. I bought some and they seem to serve their purpose for me which is I can put PCGS and NGC slabs in the same box.
