Low-cost U.S. Gold coin wanted

I need to buy a friend a Christmas gift and I want to get him a gold coin. Does anyone have a harshly cleaned/holed/bent gold dollar or quarter eagle they'd like to sell? I'm looking for one at a low premium over melt. Must be pre-1933 U.S. gold.

    Just a raw gold coin is all I ask. Will pay good money. Heck, even certified will work as long as the premium over melt is not too great.

    Buy a 1/10 oz Gold Eagle for around $185 - $200. You can probably get a PCGS MS69 slabbed on for the $200 price.
