Check out his feedback. He got busted for listing it last month, and he went right ahead and listed it again.

Glad to hear this. I would imagine if someone did this in a city - a business or something - and they would be facing charges of fraud? I can't believe how many people do this on ebay every day!

    Thanx for posting.

Everyone please report! If eBay wants to protect it's buyers and sellers like they say, this is how it is done.

Interesting. This thing has been listed for months now...If this card doesn't move at $5k during the peak of Chipper's last season, then I don't see it moving at this price between today and his HOF ceremony in 5 years. I bet a bid of $3k takes it home today (I'm talking about the REAL card in the BIN).

  • Can someone tell me what is wrong with this card? PSA better be working on hack proof holders as anyone buying expensive cards would be worried.

mesa - nothing PSA could ever do will stop people from stealing scans and listing items they don't have.

Nothing's wrong with the card (that I know of). One seller is using another seller's auction photo, which means that he is selling a card that he doesn't even own. He might have one, but he doesn't have that exact card.
  • Ok, thanks for the clarification. I am going to be in the market soon for a 52' Mantle mid grade PSA card and my biggest worry is to buy a fake card or one that has been tampered with. I guess I will have to spend a few extra bucks buying it from a highly repeatable dealer to avoid getting ripped off... Just very frustrating that people work so hard to rip people off, just my two cents worth..

I was just curious - and contacted the seller with the "auction" - which is the "newer" listing - asking why I found the same card in 2 auctions.

This is the response I got:

    Dear stone193,

whats your email... i will send you the photo of the card and close up on the shield.. also if you really want it then maybe we can work out a deal and i can just end the item when you bid and sell it to you.

Why - if "I" bid - would he want to "end" the auction and sell it to me? Should I feel privileged?

The card in the BIN is legit. He is a known collector in the DS community.
