Apparently I have a CREDIT with pcgs.. was hard to realize that as it said "90 days past due."

Either way, I apologize for any confusion as I was confused as well...

Did not call them yet as I am not THAT worried yet. I just responded to the e-mail. I was just seeing if this is a hoax.

I alos got an electronic invoice last week for a recently completed order. So it was basically a duplicate which I had never received before. But mine did have a note that said if I got this in error to contact them. I did not since the balance was O but this may be what the Dealers get?

Was there a link to click in the message? Mouse-over it.

Were you referred to by name?

    Sounds very phishy to me.

I would guess they are trying to get your credit card info. Agree with those who said to call PCGS to find out what's going on.

    Good Afternoon Everyone,

    Happy Friday!! image

As a courtesy, PCGS is beginning to email customers who have available credit on their account. If you would like to use the available credit, you can do so for future PCGS grading submissions. Please indicate on your submission form to “use credit on account.” You can write this wherever you have space on your submission form.

Additionally, if the available credit on account is less than the actual charges for the submission, you will need to provide payment for the remaining balance.

Finally, you must be a current PCGS Collectors Club Member or current PCGS Authorized Dealer to use the remaining credit on a future submission.

    My Best Regards,

<< <i>Just received an e-mail from "PCGS" that wants $140.25 and is "over 90 days due."

    1. I have never done a "bill me later" with anything, ever.
    2. I have not used any PCGS services for over a year.

I am posting this to see if anyone else got anything similar and if maybe its a hoax or an error.

    Chris >>

VBelieve it or not, each CC Member has a "private account" with PCGS that picks up such things as missed fee's and what not.

Just call customer service and they'll get it straightened out.

If AFTER you talk with CS, you find out you owe no money, then you can report a possible scam.

    Whoops!

Might want to try and retrieve that one. I thought mine was a bill also. Turns out it was a healthy size credit!

If your credit is past due, is this delinquent balance accruing interest at a rate of 10% per year until paid (or, if less, the maximum interest rate permitted by applicable law)? (see Terms & Conditions 6(b))

I got one, too. That credit balance will certainly pay for a couple of submissions and the shipping on my next order!

PCGS recently began sending out statements and invoices by email. I believe the rules we are using is that you will get a statement if there has been any activity on your account during the prior period or if there is any balance (credit or debit) on your account.

We did this in an effort to improve the customer experience with PCGS by being more transparent and offering a convenient way of tracking information. This is just the first step of many more that are in the works.
