Question about ebay best offers

If you send an offer and it is immediately rejected, I'm assuming that means the seller has set some sort of lower limit on the offers he will even entertain. Does the seller even see that the offer was made, and if so does he have the ability to counter?
I just sent someone two reasonable offers (to me, anyway
) on a coin which were immediately declined. I'm kinda hoping now he counters me, as I'm curious to know what his bottom line price is on the item. I guess I could send him a message and just ask, but where's the fun in that, right?

Incomplete planchets wanted, especially Lincoln Cents & type coins.

look at the offers that were rejected. Best bet would be to send a message and ask for a counter?

The name is LEE!
even if an offer is rejected it still shows the total amount of offers on the ebay listing page, above the asking price so you know when rejected offers come in.
like others said, to view details, click "History: 1 offer" right above the asking price.

When I run out of the 3 offers, I email and ask what's the lowest you'll go. If acceptable price is given, I ask them to change it to a BIN listing with that price.

I recently had an odd experience along these lines. The guy sends a question asking if I'd accept his offer of $150. I responded yes, and indicated I'd turn on the BO option so that he could then make the offer...
So I turned it on and he makes his offer....$125...LOL...
I accepted it as reasonable nonetheless...

Must have been a scummy civil service drone from Sacramento. The place is like that all over.
<< <i>Yes, it's an auto reject. The seller has to go into "review offers" to see it, and many never even look at the offers that were rejected. Best bet would be to send a message and ask for a counter? bob
What he said. Dealer can't counter a rejected offer but he can message you what his minimum acceptable offer would be. --Jerry

I totally am tired of buyers asking for this. Most of the time i am too nice and fix the
BIN price only to not sell it ! (an it does waste a free listing too). This, and also people that
say they forgot to bid at the last minute and want me to rerun something. So from now on,
i never rerun or adjust prices for anyone.

As a seller I have readjusted the BIN price a good number of times, and every time sold to the buyer requesting it. I notify the buyer as soon as I've adjusted, and they hit the BIN button within minutes.
