That card was just recently graded....can't believe they would miss such a glaring defect as that. I'm hoping it is the scan..

Probably needs to expound the bottom edge near the left corner as well

PSA graders seem to care more about sharpness of corners and centering,
than the actual photo itself. Which to me seems odd. We're collecting pictures.
Shouldn't the image be the most important part of the card?

  • That has to be a glare, how did that get in a 10. That's so obvious....

It's the card itself. Seen a few like that, and none of his other scans show any "glare". How does a grader miss that? image Much less the "3" graders that they have looking at each card. image
  • I think its the card, otherwise you would see the same problem area in all of the scans in the sellers other auctions. This is clearly not the case. Also it appears that the stain or print damage does not extend beyond the black borders. If it was just a scanning issue, you would see it over the plastic and not just on the card.

Wow. I hope it is not the card.

That Carew is something else. If I hear anymore that 3 graders look at each card........I'm going to faint; because it just isn't possible.

Is there anyway to send this stuff to Joe Orlando? (Or anyone?) It's concerning

Then again, how do we know that something didn't happen to the case/card AFTER it was graded? Like exposed to sun too long or something

I definitely think it's the card. I know that I have had a couple 77 Carews with the same problem. I never sent them in for grading, but I guess I should have! LOL
