Home Trading Cards & Memorabilia Forum

Probably should not ask until the weekend, but here goes

At the risk of this thread getting taken down, I ask the following question.

Who buys cards from a certain dealer in Rochester Michigan. Then turns around and potentially sells them for less a few days later?

I have my own thought on this but would rather not get bammed.

1976 PSA Darwin from Kruk
Same card, different seller

1976 PSA Von Joshua from Kruk
Same card same different seller

Coincidence?
After those four National League games, Gorman Thomas was never the same, and neither were the Brewers, and come to think of it neither was I.

Just the starting bid is lower. I'm sure they are expecting to make a profit in it. If not they will probably end the sale ahead of time.

I understand the starting is lower.

But it is not like those cards normally sell for more.

The Darwin has a high sales price of $6.97 this year. Average is $5.91

The Joshua sold 5 times this year and the high was $7.95. Average is $5.88

So it seems unusual that someone would buy the cards and try and flip them for a profit

Other potential reasons besides trying to make a quick buck.....

Original buyer wanted for collection, but found they were low end for grade.....or just a complete change of heart and didn't want at all anymore.
  • Buyer (new seller) may have bought a few PSA 9s hoping for a crackout and a bump but decided they weren't worthy of a crackout after getting card in hand.
