A question for the US collectors out there --

Do you ever consider filling holes in your PSA graded sets with Canadian variants? Especially if you're working on sets with a very low population numbers?

Would the downside be someday selling the Canadian cards at a possible loss because they're (possibly) less desirable?

They are not less desirable here in Canada, but I know what you mean. I do the same with US cards till I get the Canadian version
