Possible Bug in VCP

Over the past few months I have been seeing on VCP quite a few examples of graded cards with qualifiers showing up in the listings for
unqualified examples. These sales, which often look like ridiculously low outliers if you just look at the price and not the image, are most
definitely impacting the VCP Average price in a negative way.

Anyone know if Bobby is aware of the issue and working on a resolution?

i've reported a couple to him and they were corrected the same day. just send him an e-mail or message with the specific item.
  • Yes, I have seen this happen on multiple occasions, sometimes the card is listed in the auction heading without the qualifer & sometimes it is. I value VCP, but I feel you deffinately can not go on just average or sales. If I see a low or high sale on an item, I will always click onto that item to see it, when possible. On one item I was checking, there were 2 very low sales, upon checking, they were not even the correct card.

The other little problem I have is that I try to be very selective on the cards I buy. The high side of a grade can go for quite a premium. That has to be figured in also. I don't know of a solution for that problem, but I sure can not just look at an average price. Of course, they do have the highest price sold also, but I sure do not want to be that guy that is always setting records for paying the highest price for a card.
  • We try our best to get the cards with qualifiers but some do slip through our system. If you
see a mistake simply click on the Report a Problem button it is located on the bottom of
every page on the site. By doing this it gives us an URL directly to the problem and we
    can correct it in minutes.

    Thanks
