How will the Mercedes (Black Swan) treasure impact 8R prices?

Yesterday Spain revealed a tiny taste of the coins they won in the lawsuits against Odyssey Marine.

There are nearly 600,000 artifacts, an estimated half million of which are silver coins (most likely 8 reales).

Assuming Spain releases some or all of them, will the interest in them be enough for the market to absorb them, will prices fall because of the glut, or will their shipwreck effect doom them to second class status?

Hmmm. I've got mixed feelings about the Spanish government not selling if that's true. I don't know that they *need* a half million pieces to represent what was the workhorse of the western world. Thousands, tens of thousands even. But 500,000?

Given the choice of a flawless MS66 or MS67 8-reale with shipwreck effect or a non shipwreck 45, which would you rather have for your collection? The Mercedes pieces have a unique and known history, too.
