    I just watched Batista make the transition, it wasn't very pretty. Shamrock went from martial arts to wrestling. Others hand collegiate wrestling backgrounds and went to pro wrestling to MMA. It makes the OP's point silly to think these guys are panzies.....

    Shamrock was a pro wrestler before he did MMA.
