Montana PSA 9 on Ebay, looks suspect.....

Hello all,

I was doing my weekly Ebay search of Joe Montana rookie cards, when I stumbled upon this.....
Link

Thought this were more than one with the seller, but it looks like this one may be an isolated incident. Clearly the card is O/C, and has a stain in the upper right hand corner.

Anybody have any PSA slabs, with glue residue inside?

What is the problem? I must be missing something because the feedback looks fine and the card is ok.

    Appreciate today-

  • Sorry, I was editing the post.....check out the links now.

  • Seems legit. He is offering 14 day money back.
  • Edited, just wondering about the Montana card now.

It looks more like light reflecting from the scanner on that edge...

It seems the scans of the backs are the smoking gun. To me it seems as if the Montana is an isolated incident and the others have not been tampered in any way. You can see the residue from the glue in the Montana, but not the others.
  • I think you are correct. I guess it is the scanner showing that line on the right, but the Montana is definitely suspect.

  • The centering being acceptable for a 9 doesn't surprise me. I also noticed the possible stain but thought it may be a shadow as well.

The card's legit. It's just the way his settings are on his scanner
that's making the right edge of the holder appear differently.

The front upper corner has a small grease stain. I've seen many cards
in 9 holders with them. PSA doesn't seem to downgrade cards with this
slight surface defect. The card, judging by the font, appears to have been
    graded around 1998-2000.

I'd have no problem buying from this seller.

The seller has other graded cards currently auctioning that
are scanned the exact same way and they all appear legit.

It's his scanner settings causing the right edge holder issue.
