sell or keep graded packs

Just curious to see who gets packs graded to keep them versus flipping them. Not sure if there is a different mindset compared to when buying cards individually. I will be sending in my first pack submission from the recent group purchases. I plan on holding on to them.

All the packs I submit are for my personal collection. Occasionally, I'll be upgrading a pack and, as a result, sell the graded one which I upgraded. Good luck with yout first pack submission!!!

Collecting:
Any unopened Baseball cello and rack packs and boxes from the 1970's and early 1980s.
It's like a lock.
All of the packs that I have done that to have been purchased instead of self subbed. With the self subbed ones I have less desire to crack them open for whatever reason!

All of my personal packs are for my collection, though I have been selling some here and there.
IMO there is really no downside to having a pack or packs graded by PSA--
<< <i>I am in agreement with Steve authenticating the packs / boxes. I am sure he could start a side business, charge a flat fee per year, like PSA does. You send him unopened material, he wraps it, puts his sticker on it, charges a flat shipping rate. I know I would pay for the service. I am sure most of us pay the PSA fee, and aside from the POP reports, probably don't use it very much. >>
His contract with PSA is sure to have a non-compete clause.

just trying to cover all the bases--
One of the reasons I don't care about the numerical grade is shifting gum can often cause tears, so the item in hand might be considerably worse than when it was graded. This is also true with 3d cards, especially '68 Topps, so the grade isn't as important as the eye appeal.
Always looking for Topps Salesman Samples, pre '51 unopened packs, E90-2, E91a, N690 Kalamazoo Bats, and T204 Square Frame Ramly's
<< <i>PSA holders do help in resisting opening the packs, but I have been know to take a dremel to the case to open it up to crack open a pack. >>
That is great, I have been hiding the same secret for awhile now but I used a sledge hammer.
