1991 OPC Baseball Production #'s?

Maybe someone on the board can help me. I've come across a pile of 1991 OPC baseball factory sets and for the life of me can't find anything to indicate production figures for factory, wax or other.

Googling around and ebay I can't find much for sale. The PSA POP report shows a very low amount of cards graded (114 for Chipper, 25 for Ryan).

My initial reaction is its junk wax from the 90's or similar to a Topps Tiffany set.

they aren't abundant like the topps. the usual figure most people throw out there is that the opc print run is about 5% of the topps print run. so there are only about 5,000,000 of each card(lol) do you mind me asking how much you paid/paying for the sets?

Although Chipper Jones Gems seem to garner a lot of attention and the issue was more than likely printed in less quantity than it's Topps counterpart, it's still 1991

I would guess 6,000-10,000 ish factory sets like Tiffany? PSA POP report paints a odd picture if speaking in relative terms, yes I do need to consider less popular sets get graded less.

Topps Tiffany
3000+ graded, 114 Ryan's, 418 Chippers

Desert Shield
34,000 graded, 242 Ryan's, 265 Chippers

OPC
1,000 graded, 25 Ryan's, 114 Chippers

I don't want to say what I paid here but am interested in market value. Easiest way is throw on ebay and see what the masses say.

Curious to know what you mean by a "pile" of the sets. 5? 10? 30?

The number I have is not really the point of the post sorry, we could PM about that.

More so trying to understand the background to the 1991 factory sets and wax. How collector's view it and guesstimate on production runs.
