1981 Topps Cello

Are these generally wrapped tight like some of the 70s where the cards are bowed and most corners damaged?

Thanks,

95% of the 81 cellos I have seen have been wrapped loosely.

Depends. Some of the 1981 cellos were wrapped in a thicker cellophane, making the wrapper extremely tight on the cards. Others were wrapped in a thinner, looser cellophane.

I have seen both right out of the box (either all loosely wrapped or all tightly wrapped from same case, however), though majority are loosely wrapped. Same applied for 1980 and even 1982 Topps cello packs, too. By 1983, all cellos were loosely wrapped, and prior to 1980 all cellos were tightly wrapped.
