Gorgeous rainbow toned 1973 Great Britain and Northern Ireland proof set.
Six-piece proof set with the ½, 1, 2, 5, 10, and 50 pence pieces. The 3 higher denomination pieces are pretty—well struck standard proof pieces of the era.
But the ½ , 1, and 2 pence pieces are MONSTER toned. Gorgeous dark cobalt in the periphery that marches into deep goldish bronze and finishes in the center with brilliant rose coloring on both the obverse and reverse of the pieces. Even the royal mint token exhibits this stunning warm rose-pink Beautiful matched set of this (very soon to be) 40-year old royal mint collection in original and unopened government case. Pictures don't begin to do these pieces justice.
