Will this NNOF Frank Thomas Bump?

I just bought this NNOF PSA 6 Frank Thomas on ebay. I was wondering if you think this will bump to a 6.5 or a 7. The corner on the top left has a ding that I didn't pick up in the ebay seller's scan. I bought it for $700 dollars.

I think the ding is too much... still a great card to have.

It would likely sit in the same holder if sent in for a review. If cracked, I'd think the best it would ever receive is a 6.5, maybe 25% of the time. Great card though.

  • Probably not but I'd give it a shot since it's not going to be lower than a 6.

Don't think it would ever wind up in a "7" holder with that corner. 6.5? Maybe.

Good idea. There's only 147 in total that are graded. Enjoy the card.

  • Here are some questions that I would like to know the answer to:

    1. How many of these NNOF Frank Thomas cards are still out there in an unopened wax pack? Collectors are still paying for unopened wax boxes hoping to find one.

    2. What are the odds/chances of actually pulling a NNOF Frank Thomas from a 32 year old wax pack?

I've only heard of a recent pull (actually pulled 3 or 4 from the case) once in the last 10 years.

It's really a waste of time and money. You'd spend more money trying to pull one than you'd spend just purchasing a nice near-mint copy.

To refer back to the pull, it was by member RookieWax and can be chronicled in the large NNOF thread.
