An example of the popular 1909 VDB Doubled Die Obverse Lincoln cent in one of the finest certified grades available, certifed MS65+ Red by PCGS! Although not shown on the PCGS Secure Slab, which merely says Doubled Die Obverse, this is an example of the more popular of the major Cherrypickers' varieties, the FS-1101. The pickup points are the extra-wide numerals in the date, especially the first 1 and 9, and the bold doubling most visible on RTY. This Doubled Die Obverse FS-1101 in MS65+ Red is many, many times rarer than the 1909-S VDB. The PCGS Price Guide lists this rare variety at $5,200 in MS65+ Red.
