I have one from sportsdisplays as well. Their shipping department has got it down. A box in a box with foam wrap ensured it arrived in perfect condition. Customer service wasn't a player in my case, but they were polite. I called and requested a discount on the shipping if I would of boiught three. The discount amounted to $10, so I only bought one. But when it arrived, I saw what kind of attention it was given for shipping and the reason the cost of shipping is what it is. It's really nice piece (36 graded card case).

Does the UV glass from Sports Displays truly protect against fading from sunlight? My office gets lots of natural light and I have avoided any card displays due to fears (perhaps unwarranted) of my cards fading from exposure.
I've ordered from Sports Displays and picked it up at his house. My display is incredibly well made and I can't imagine one better. While I was there he showed me a ton of his displays that he'd just built- if you don't see something you need just send him the specs, he'll do it. Great product, great service, and an incredibly nice guy who takes a lot of pride in his work.

Not sure if any of that UV protection on plastic works. I would not trust it at all. I think your fear is rational.

<< <i>Tony- how are the homeplate hero's displays different? >>
Anthony,
I do not know if they display too differently but the home plate cases I bought were deep enough to hold my mini nodders. The top section can hold the large graded cards like red man's or psa graded packs. I just felt they seemed a little sturdier for my tastes. The sport displays are still very nice but I just liked the quality of home plate hero's cases just a little more.
I have an 18 card display case from SportsDisplays that I'd like to move. I had planned on selling it locally due to shipping, but if someone is interested, I can send pics. Either PM me or send an email to gstarling@gmail.com

I wonder if they discontinued the 50 card display case due to size? weight? lack of demand?

For my tastes it was an easy choice, as I like the quality of the Homeplate Heroes cases. They are not cheap though.
