These autographs are part of a lot of programs Gettysburg Bullets Player Gene Hess had signed for him during his playing days in college. Im looking to sell as a lot:
Nov 2. 1940 Boston vs. Reserve Signed by Bill Edwards CFHOF 1986 D. 1987 (This is the coach not "big" bill edwards of Princeton fame.
1940. Texas vs. Colorado Signed by D. X. Bible inscription reads : Sincerely, D.X. Bible signed over a picture of himself with coaching staff CFHOF 1951 D.1980
1940 Colgate Vs. Holy Cross Signed by team Captain Tackle John M. Kellar and Head coach anf former Notre Dame HB Joseph Sheeketski D. 1995
1940 Washington Vs. Idaho Signed By Coach Jim Phelan Inscription "To Gene" From Jim Phelan 1940 1952 coach of the NFL's Dallas Texans and CFHOF 1973 D. 1974
1940 Rutgers athletic Press program signed by Coach "Tad Wieman" inscribed "Best Wishes to Gene Hess" "Tad Wieman" CFHOF 1956 D. 1971
1940 Columbia vs Wisconsin Signed by Coach Lou Little inscribed "to Gene, All the best Lou Little" CFHOF 1960 D. 1979 Also signed by Captain Dr. Hugh R. Barber D. 2006
1940 Colgate Vs Syracuse Signed by Colgate Captain James Garvey, inscription reads "Sincerely. Jim Garvey" Was named to Sports illustrated 25th anniversary team in 1965 and a real shame hes not recognized in the hof. Im not sure if he is deceased or not.
Program above also signed by head coach Andy Kerr, very nicely signed over the picture of him in the program, CFHOF 1951 D.1969
I will gladly send scans upon request, e-mail nathan.wagner67@gmail.com for the pictures, programs range in condition from poor to Vg but the signatures all held up well with all being 9s, 10s in strength.
