I wish PSA would offer to reholder all wax packs in the old holders into the new holders for free!

It'd be a nice gesture if PSA would offer to reholder all the wax packs in the old "prong" holders into the new "straight edge" holders... PSA are you listening? image

If they were to replace all the old holders that allow the gum to slide freely; causing tears in the wax, their gesture would generate more wax pack submission... hence, more dollar dollar bills y'all! image

    I'll drink to that! image

It's basic business... a businesses reputation means everything. If you have a broken product (the old wax pack holders), you need to fix it. If you don't fix it; the more people that see your broken product, the less new (and sometimes old) business you'll generate. The more people that ask "How can that wax pack be a PSA 9 with all those tears?", the more your reputation suffers. Every business has loss leaders (monthly/quarterly specials, etc.) and recalls when a systematic problem is identified... this should definitely be a PSA recall. image

Companies "recall" faulty and/or poorly designed products they sell all the time -- and generally repair / replace for free or at a nominal cost.

Not so crazy a thought IMO.

A lot of collectors also actually prefer the design of the older holder and if it's already hollered it won't affect condition of pack anyway.

Collecting 1970s Topps baseball wax, rack and cello packs, as well as PCGS graded Half Cents, Large Cents, Two Cent pieces and Three Cent Silver pieces.

I only mention it as a very expensive pack (in the older "prong" holder) was damaged in transit to my location. image

There is an old saying of what you can do with your hands when you want to wish for something.

Whoever authored that old saying should reauthor it in the new format for free! image
