1920 Archived Royal Mint film.....

About a 12 minute film of the Royal Canadian Mint of 1920.

Very interesting

Heads up at the 7:23 and 11.22 minute mark as you'll see many, many ms67 pieces.

    There are several Pathe films of mint activities that were discussed in a previous thread:

    Really interesting to see how the mints handled their products. The Vatican film was especially interesting to me in that they were using a couple of hundred year old press to restrike much earlier medals. Toward the end of the film is the use of a more modern press to strike contemporary what look like silver medals. At the very end the worker dumps a small box of medals into a larger container, a heart stopping scene of (mis)handling for any collector. After such treatment, its amazing that many of these survived in decent shape at all!
