Which year was the Best ROY class

Now that Trout and Harper have won ROYs, curious to see in 20 years how they rank with other ROY Tandems.

Past Winners in AL & NL

2001: Ichiro & Pujols
1977: Dawson & Murray
1967: Carew & Seaver

What year produced the best tandem of players that did NOT win ROY?

'89 had Larry Walker and Griffey. I'm in that age range, so that is the first that pops into my head.

    How about 1995?

Chipper came in 2nd, and Arod didn't garner any votes

I'm sure there are quite a few:

1975: Jim Rice and Gary Carter
1978: Paul Molitor and Ozzie Smith
1982: Wade Boggs and Ryne Sandberg
1984: Kirby Puckett and Orel Hershiser

Edited to answer the OP's original question: I agree with Digicat: Seaver and Carew.

How about 1955. Killebrew, Clemente and Koufax.

Also sad to be reminded how my Dodgers at one time dominated that award for so many years but haven't won one in many years now... and I can't remember the last time a Dodger was close.

After Todd Hollandsworth finished off the 5-peat for the Dodgers ROY award in 1996, the highest a Dodger ever finished for ROY voting was 4th place (Kaz Ishii in 2002, w/ 1 first place vote)!

Pujols and Ichiro are better than Seaver and Carew IMO.

One reason the Dodgers dominated was they were a good team and could bring players up later than other franchises could. Of the five who won 92-96, only Piazza had a great career. Three had decent careers, and one (Hollandsworth) was a fringe player. Their four year run 79-82 had no one in Piazza'a class, but all four were well above average players
