I'd like to know what printer he uses. Those colors are really rich. It would be a fine printer for family photos...not so good for copying 60 year old cards.
Im headed to jacksonville tomm. for a equipment pick up and asked if I could meet up and se card in person.Waiting on response but pretty sure I know how it will go.
It still amazes me how many knuckleheads continue to bid on such a high valued item without any sort of authentication. It’s just insane if you ask me. I don’t like this card one bit. The colors alone raises immediate red flags. Also he doesn’t have any other high dollar cards for sale beside a 58 Topps Hank Aaron All-Star card (which is nothing in comparison). Seems like the grandfather had a very small and selective collection and one of those cards JUST happened to be a 52 Mantle. The fact that the seller uses the word trimmed means that he knows some stuff about cards and so he’s covering his tail by saying that he can’t confirm if its legit or not. Anyone and EVERYONE knows that if you have a 52 Mantle, you get it graded. The fact that he’s charging $20 for shipping just confirms that he is expecting it to fetch a couple grand at least (so why WOULDNT you get it graded to bring more value to your auction). If you look at his feedback, he already had a complaint as of recent and this seller refused to refund the buyers money.
