ragged or clean cut??

I've been wondering, is a ragged cut card considered a defect? I've seen some with a ragged cut sell for as much as one with a clean cut. I'm thinking that the knives or whatever is used to cut the cards from the sheets may not have been sharp.
Would you hesitate to buy one with a ragged cut?

  • "Rough cut" is the term most often used. I can go either way, some people think they're awesome, some don't like them. PSA seems to not let them effect the grade. I think they're pretty cool but would never pay a premium for one.
