It still looks better than EF45 to me. Perhaps I need to learn how to grade 2100 year old coins.

    Really ancients cant be graded by U.S. coin type grading. Due to their age, how they were struck and environmental conditions when they were lost over 2000 years ago, it makes that kind of grading useless. Some even may have been struck fresh from the mint no better then a "VF20".

    From the photos I would say its a VF+

    There is other styles of ancient grading but this is a good start.

    By the grading system you linked, I agree it is VF+
