Text book example of PVC damage.....

Maybe a touch stronger than 'text-book' but for anybody that wants to know what PVC can do........(from Ebay)

    I agree it's PVC, but I don't see any "damage". You would have to remove the PVC to see any underlying damage.

    I agree. PVC per se is not damaging, but it slowly decomposes to a variety of products, including hydrochloric aicd. The acid is what causes the real damage---it dissolves most coinage metals (but not pure gold), causing pitting/etching.

    progressed to verdigris.... eaten away, especially in the center obverse. unfixable image
