    Wow!
Yeah, I uploaded that KC icon in 2001
  • Foo3112 - Jason was on his way from Kalamazoo Michigan with two buddies in his band in a friggin van trying to get to Los Angeles to become famous. Van broke down in Phoenix - his two buddies got their mommies to put up plane ticket to get home, but Jason said no chance. Just ran in to him back when living the metal scene here and we started a band called DOGZ. He lived with me, and whn my dear mother got sick of him eating our food and begging for peanut butter sandwiches etc, he went to Kelly's. (smith, flotsam and jetsam drummer of you ever heard of them). We made a couple demos, but. we really really sucked badly ! A couple tunes 'flotsam and jetsam' , 'dogz of war' from or demos actually made it to local metal radio. I got booted when it was time to get real (i was the only one having what was called a 'job' and going to what was called 'college' and wouldn't practice enough to appease my fellow non job no school vagrants !!) Long story short, well, about 4 years later, Cliff died (metallica bassist) The flotsam demos and first album were at Metal Blade records - and Brian Slagel suggested Jason to Lars and James. One day. I answer the phone in my and Kelly's apartment, it's friggin Lars from Metallica wanting Jason to come try out for the band. Jason got the gig. From total peanut butter sandiwch beggin' vagrant, to Metallica and 20 million bucks later, haven't heard from him in a decade. hahaha.

Back to CLOSET finds ! Gents, sad and glorious here:

Seeing that Wrigley Field refreshment ad reminds me how those chocolate coated ice cream bars were always my favorite at the old Tiger Stadium. Can't even get one now if you tried at Comerica Park. All they come around with are those nasty sandwiches with 2 cookies surrounding ice cream.
