    Congrats!!!
I'd say you scored big time on that one!

My one and only search through a $500 box og halfs yielded zero silver and no DD's that I could spot- might be my observation skills on that part though.

    You did great!!!image

There is probably a reason you have not filled the 1987 slots. There were only 2,890,758 ea of the P&D mint marks and they were issued only as parts of the 1987 Uncirculated and Souvenir sets and never saw circulation. There is however a chance of pulling them out of a roll...good luck.

  • Thanks for the responses.

I will probably jusy have my son buy the Coins at an upcoming coin show.

We still have to get the Kennedy's from 2002-Present.

I just liked finding rhe silver Coins. Luckily my Father-in-Law's Credit Union has a coin counting machine and do not charge for change.

I really do not want to roll these Coins.

To bad 1976 Coins don't have a premium. I have probably $50 in 1776-1976 Kennedys

The 1970-D is also a "mint set only" coin, 40% silver and not all that expensive.

I have done a lot of roll searching and have found most of the Kennedy Half dollars, all the way up to 2010! Although, I have only kept the silver and proofs(10 I think is the count) I have found. Congrats on a good time! image

  • How do you know if they are a proof?

    Is it the mint mark?

  • Are the proofs worth anything? How about the NIFC ones from the late 2000's?
