Finally! An Ebay change that works in favor of sellers!

This may open up the potential selling opportunities - maybe not so much for US coins, but for a lot of other things for sure. The current inability to track and confirm delivery internationally is the main reason I have limited my sales to US only...
Ebay Announcement 11/2/2012:
Great news! A new Global Shipping Program, now being tested, will help you expand your sales to millions of eager international buyers. By enrolling for FREE in this program, you’ll be able sell to buyers in multiple countries, but ship your packages to a shipping center located in the US—this means you’re only responsible for the domestic leg of shipping!
Once your item arrives at the designated US shipping center, the Global Shipping Program then takes care of ALL facets of international parcel processing. They’ll:
Complete customs forms
Remit applicable import charges pre-paid by your buyer
Ship the package on to the buyer—with full end-to-end international tracking!
Your shipping-related Detailed Seller Ratings will be protected, and you are not liable for loss or damage during international transit. This program is great for buyers, too, as they’ll see the complete and total price of the purchase up-front—during checkout—so they won’t be surprised by additional taxes or duties when the item arrives.
The Global Shipping Program is currently being piloted with a small group of sellers, and will be more broadly available in the months ahead. Watch this announcement board for further updates—and get ready to go global!

+2! Actually laughed out loud on that one!
I got the notice as well and haven't had a chance to sort through it. Cost, tracking, and accountability would be the major issues I'd think. I sold an item to a client in South Korea recently and it was no big deal but shipping it off to eBay would be even easier for me as the seller. Hope it works out.
<< <i>I just noticed tonight that when I want to change away from the BS "Best Match" sort, "price + shipping, lowest is not longer an option.". They do not approve of buyers being cost conscious. What a crock >>
I still have all of the sort options, including "price + shipping, lowest". Maybe it's your browser?

<< <i>I wonder why collectible coins and paper money are excluded. >>
Could have something to do with the fact that some countries have declared them historical treasures and have put restrictions on people digging them up and shipping them off to the highest bidder.
