Coin #1: Gorgeous NGC MS67*FB Dime FSHO, CAC. Getting cheaper each day...SOLD!

Hello all,
Those of you that have been on this board for a while probably know that I have been a full time Naval Officer, part time coin dealer and part time collector over the nearly 10 years since I joined the board in early 2003. I had already been in the Navy for a good chunk of time prior to joining the boards, and most people know that eventually a time comes to transition to your next life. I am very much looking forward to that transition! Don't worry, I still have a few more years of the Navy, but plans to move to our "retirement" location are already underway.
The biggest part of that plan is to buy a house in Carmel Valley, our favorite place in the world. Those familiar with the area will attest that it isn't cheap at all and housing is a major purchase.
It was always understood that the collection would be one source of funds for the down payment on the house. Additionally, I have been fighting with myself for some time to change direction and simplify my collecting. If you are anything like I am, you spend a lot of time looking for coins. I have decided that I want to reduce the amount of time spent on coins and refocus in other areas of my life. I will still collect of course, but the focus will be quite narrow.
Since I have time, and don't think we can buy a house in the Valley quite yet, I will be offering one coin at a time. It makes things easier for me to deal with shipping wise and it prevents any major damage being done to a very carefully put together collection in the event of some unexpected life change.
Every day that a coin doesn't get sold, it will decrease in price a % or two...until sold.
Starting out with a beautiful dime from the collection, that was one of three in the "A" Box of Twenty. Not an expensive coin by a long shot, but one that was cherry picked after looking at literally hundreds, if not thousands of mercs. Completely original, albeit lighter toned that many of the coins in the set. The pictures, beautifully captured by Mark Goodman, show many of the colors, but don't quite display the purples and blues at the center of the obverse, nor the pale lavender on the reverse. This coin has primo color, but is not priced as crazily as some other merc dimes that you will encounter out there.
Yours for a whopping SOLD!(Was originally $275)
