Glass negative - Gotch / Hackenschmidt - Wrestling

Hello, I know this post doesn't have to do with cards or autographs, but does anyone know anything about glass negatives from the early part of the 1900's. I just purchased a glass negative from the Gotch / Hackenschmidt fight, but I don't know how to tell if it was actually at the fight or made later on. Any help would be appreciated. Thanks Greg

Hey guys, I finally learned how to post pics. I also just picked up 14 Gotch postcards. Gotch is the most undervalued wrestler.

I was under the impression that Frank Gotch items went for big money. Am I wrong?

You could pick up Gotch postcards fairly cheap, but original photographs are a whole different story. Here are a few photos from my collection.

I read that the 1910 Frank Gotch Pet Moutpiece card is very valuable. Any comments about that card?

I know nothing about these older items.

I think I bought one from Rob for $400 a while ago. Rob has a really nice collection. You can't go wrong with Gotch, Strangler Lewis, Rocca, Gorgeous George, and Andre.

My passion is Frank Gotch and I have a few signed items of him and autos are extremely rare. Right over my computer, I have an 8 by 10 that is matted and framed that Gotch gave to his friend and promoter George Barton in 1910. It is all original and from 1910. This is an extraordinary piece. I also was able to accidently win a postcard of Gotch that had his autograph on it. The seller gave up a lot of money by not identifying the signature or at least considering that Frank signed the item.

Knapp, I would be curious to know what 14 postcards of Gotch you picked up.

PS I sold you the Pet card a bit cheaper than that but yes it was only equivalent to a PSA 1.

I do not have the bottom two of Gotch....what is on the other side, any postcard company markings? The first Anderson Studio postcard in a slab is a slight variation to the one that I have......great stuff.........
