1821 JR-2 (R6+/R6)
Sales history for this die marriage is extremely scarce, as very few have EVER come up for sale.
Most recently, the Dave Davis specimen, which sold in July 2012 as F-details Cleaned yielded $3,055
The Jules Reiver examples from 2006 netted $6,325 for a NGC-12 and $2,990 for an EF-details damaged.
About half of the known examples of this die marriage are damaged to some degree and very few are found in problem-free condition.
There is only 1 MS example known followed by a problem-free VF-30; most extant examples exhibit F-12 or lower details.

The following 2 examples are for sale here
G-6, relatively problem-free aside from some moderate obverse/reverse chatter
Price: $1550

VF-details, damaged
Although damaged, this example is one of the most detailed examples known for this die marriage!
Price: $2,200

1833 JR-3 (R6)
Sales history for this die marriage is also almost non-existent. I have located only 2 sales since 2006 from public auctions, and a private treaty sale. The Dave Davis piece, PCGS-55, sold for $5,581, and the Jules Reiver AU-details cleaned went for $4888.
I bought my lower-end AG-3 for $600 a year ago and I can't tell you how pleased I was to acquire even that low grade example. This die marriage NEVER comes up for sale...EVER (well, nearly so at least!), and is extremely rare.

I recently came into possession an FR-02 piece without a visible date (that being the only "issue" with the coin). I have also triple-checked the diagnostics of this piece and they 100% match the 1833 JR-3 die marriage...GUARANTEED.
This will probably be the cheapest example you can ever expect to acquire unless you find/buy one unattributed.
Price: $250
