1982-p copper ld vs. sd

Anyone have any info on when the mint (month/day) switched from large date to small date or vice-versa
in 1982 -p copper ???? please email me indianhoarder@hotmail.com

    I don't think that they ever really knew when the change was made, and mintage estimates for the 7 varieties have varied over the years. Cladking would be your best bet to provide some details.

    I have no clue.

    I think CaptHenway or CopperCoins once suggested one of changes in composition was early July but I don't remember details.

    Thanks for the link, Snowman. I remember reading an article in Coin World long ago that had the production dates and production rates somewhat nailed down, and which had some reasonable estimates of the mintages for each variety, but I probably didn't save it so the info is long gone. The article in your link is a good start at recovering those estimates.
