1979 Ozzie...any shot at an 8??

What do you think? Is centering within parameters...i know this card is notorious for bad centering?

Is it just the scan, or is the card miscut? The upper half of the left edge looks crooked, while the lower half looks straight. And, vice versa for the right edge.

I think the crooked look is from the card not lying flat on the scanner bed.

I'm thinking it might receive a PD qualifer as the dots pretty much run the entire card.
  • The Tilt looks pretty bad to me. Plus there seems to be quite a bit of print"debris"
I don't think it has a shot at an 8.

Print debris and bottom left corner make it a 7....or worse..

IMO, you are paritally correct. The bottom left corner is the issue. No way that card is worse than a 7 unless there is something we can't see.

Also, I don't think the tilt or the minor print specks keeps it from an 8. I think the only thing keeping it from an 8 is the bottom left corner

  • I've seen 8's with tilts 10X worse than the tilt on this card.

I think it has a shot. The slight print lines could be an issue though. I've had cards come back okay and others not. I think it is going to be based upon the ever popular subjectivity of that day's grader and what constitutes "eye appeal." Good luck with it. It is a nice card.
  • 90/10- Probably a 7 but slim shot at a 10

I think you have a good shot at an 8.

Yeah..1st 8 on an Ozzie. I have never had a decent one to submit. This was a PSA 7.5 crackout that I picked up for under $30 I think.
