Let me tell y'all about my USPS Letter Carrier A++ "PICTURES ADDED" ****

J.R. our carrier has been with the USPS for over 30 years and one heck of a nice guy. All my items I buy are shipped to my office
downtown which makes it great for not having to go and pick up at the post office. Small family business and either
mywife, daughter or myself receives everthing shipped to me, real lucky about that. For the past few years I have
been teaching JR about coins and he looks forward to when he delievers them and me opening them as I am. I might have
created a new collector one day.

Well now today was the Florida / Georiga Footbal Game weekend and this was game day so JR wanted to get his deliveries
done early and not be in the mess in town so he came this morning before I got to work and the wife got my packages. She
told me he wanted to see what I got but would check on Monday. Then late this afternoon when things were a mad house with
traffic and people all over I look up and here came JR . I said dude what the heck are you doing back down here in this madness.
Now get this. He said another letter carrie had found a package addressed to me in a tub and he wanted to get it to me before the
weekend and since he had finished early he brought it back downtown to me.

Now you tell me that this ain't above and beyond the call. If the Postal Service gave them out he should get a big ole shinny medal
to wear on his chest. Ya know we hear about how the letter carriers do bad things and then we hear very little about their good deeds
so I thought I would share this one with y'all and maybe when you have a good thing happen share that also.

Tiny

First two are the ones I mentioned earlier this week and then just two others that caught my fancy.

I've always felt most mail carriers are really good people.
I don't think mine would go the same lengths yours did but I have found him to be very good to have and my packages, once they get to him, have always been in good hands.

Give yours a nice drink when you get the chance image

I've been told I tolerate fools poorly...that may explain things if I have a problem with you. Current ebay items - Nothing at the moment

  • Some of them don't get the respect they deserve and here is a sroey of another good one. Where I live, the post office is about 30 miles away and all the mail delivery is contracted out. They know it's a pita to go all the way down there if your aren't home for something you had to sign for and he has actually brought packages back to my house, completely out of his way, on his way home from work to save me the trip.

  • When J R delivers to our office he knows there is a frig in the back with cold drinks and water and we all ways have
lots of goodies lying around with free pens and candy which he helps hinself too. He is a Gold Wing rider and goes all
over the country on his vacations with his wife riding with him and shows me his phone pics with the rides and the fishing
trips with the ones that didn't get away. hehe How many of y'all give your guys Christmas presents like boxes of
cookies and candy or a card and tell them THANK YOU? Both out letter carriers and our garbage guys with the UPS
and any one that does things for us even if they are paid to do the job. It's a way to tell them how much you appreciate
the extra they do all year long. The wife will be headed to Sam's soon and buy 30 or 40 cans and jars of cookies and candy
to give out and I have to wait until everybody gets a gift and maybe I will get a goodie. lOL LOL

Tiny, you should write a letter of praise to your mail carrier's boss and cc his boss's boss. I'm sure you can find out who they are and how to reach them. And, of course, say nothing about it to your mailman.

We give our mailman a $100 bill every Xmas. He's a gem.

Are you doing a grading set?

Great idea there Lance, I'll do my research and do that.

Are you doing a grading set?

To be honest with you Becky, I guess you could say that but it didn't start out that way. I am buying different 79 S Morgans
graded by third party graders and third world graders. Trying to keep it to just one or two of each but as you can see from
my current list which needs a few still on the way home to me I couldn't quite maintain the original plan. image
