  • They're extremely scarce from my understanding. I've only every physically seen a single actual Compugrade slab and thankfully saved it from the slab crackers. I know there's been one on eBay recently where it was a BIN OBO at $600 which was about $300 too steep for me.

    They are rare. As the current owner of CompuGrade LLC and I have seen only six, four that people have contacted me about and the two Sample Slabs (both types) that I own with a large collection of the plain old CompuGrade slabs.
    I was a young Numismatist in Alaska when the original CompuGrade was a big thing (there at least) and have a photo of myself behind two display cases full of their slabs in the summer of 1991.

    The one I would really love to have is a Double Eagle in an original CompuGrade Slab. Only graded in the last month of their existence, I would say that they are extremely rare!

    These were at my desk so I grabbed a shot for you;
    Not for sale, however if I find a duplicate I will let you know.
    I value them all around the $300 range each
