I've bought from him before. Last 2 transactions i returned to him!! Both were 1943-D Steel Lincoln OBW rolls that were all reprocessed. Hmmmmm so much for unopened bank wrapped.
. buying rolls like these is similar to taking a trip to vegas or atlantic city or walking up on a rottweiler and smacking it across the snout and wondering if it will bite you .
My question is this about ALL OBW rolls -> Why do we think they would be a solid date roll? I get cents and nickels from the bank all the time and they are very rarely solid date rolls. And when they are it's generally not obvious until I open the roll.
So is it possible that a REAL OBW roll would be different and mostly circulated coins from earlier dates inside? That would seem to be the obvious thing based on my 2012 experience.
Banks used to get bags from the mint and make rolls for their customers. The paper rolls were normally printed with the bank Logo. Mostly done by companies like Brinks now.

Rottweiler's are among the most gentle, affectionate dogs I've ever owned. Those who don't know the breed have opinions influenced by Hollywood. If you smacked my rottie in the snout she'd whimper away but I'd probably bite you. Lance.

Or did bank rolls work differently back then?
