Group Break Choices.....Please Read!!!!- Break Will Go Live on Thursday 11/08

I would like to get another group break going (hopefully by this weekend). I have a bunch of stuff selected and would like to try and bust it all. There are the regular items we bust but have added several new stuff i.e. 93 Topps Finest BB, 92 Bowman BB Jumbos, 82 and 83 Donruss BB, 98 Bowman Chrome FB and Bowmans Best (Manning, Ward Rc), and 2000 Topps Chrome and UD Black Diamond (Brady Rc). It's basically all baseball and football (good 80's run) with packs and boxes.

I also maybe able to add a 79/80 OPC hockey box. The cost would be about $350/pack.

I would like comments back on the following:

1.) Is there enough interest to bust the 79/80 OPC. Not to many boxes come up for sale anymore and with how we busted the 86 Fleer Bskt, I think this would sell out.
2.) Is there anything on the list below that we should eliminate or add to.

Just a heads up on the 2000 Topps Chrome. Tom Brady is not in this product.
He is in Bowman Chrome just not topps chrome for that year.
You are good on the black diamond as he is in that.

I'd be in for a box of the 81 topps baseball from the sealed case for sure. I did read on the bbce facebook page that they bought a bunch of 70s/80s wax so I wonder if he has anything interesting here? What about boxes of 84 topps football from a sealed case? I might be interested in one of those with the discount.

Not to be the negative Nancy, but nothing overly exciting in this rip, seems we have depleted Steves inventory pretty good already, nothing in the way of basketball on the site. If I do the math there is a 3.5% chance of pulling a gretzky at $350 a pack the math does not add up unless you are buying a lottery ticket for a psa 10. I may jump in some of the 80's football but this will be a quiet rip for me, hard to follow those 75 cellos in the last one.

Yeah, i'd love a pack of the 79/80 OPC, but that is just too rich for my blood. I would definitely be interested in most everything else. Are there any other late '70's baseball or football in addition to '77 baseball?

70s unopened product is really drying up...it may be disappointing that we don't have a wide selection to choose from, but the scarcity of authentic product is a good thing for unopened collectors!

I am going to try and answer all questions/comments on one thread:

CubsFan41 - I believe it is one refractor/box on the 93 finest BB

hockeycrazy - It's probably not clear on my list (the formating from pasting from excel to the web page is horrible) but I have a case of 81 Topps BB wax and 82 Fleer BB wax.

tmgrnzx9r - Thanks for the heads up. I will remove from list.

MantleFan23 - The only wax boxes Steve has added was hockey.

esebille - I undersand. I talk to Steve pretty regularly. According to Steve, the pre-80's stuff is either not available or priced out of sight. Instead of buying by the truckload, he is buying by the box. It comes down to supply and demand. I know we have been ripping alot of the same stuff but at least it is popular items. It's either that or do group breaks every 6 months.

PLEHR - I can add that 80/81 Topps Hockey to the list.

I will remove the 79/80 OPC from the list. Does anyone have any interest in the following hockey boxes:

76/77 OPC
81/82 Topps
84/85 Topps
85/86 Topps
86/87 Topps
87/88 OPC
88/89 OPC

I would be interested in the 80's hockey you have listed if you could change them from Topps to OPC. There isn't much value in the Topps from those years.

Yes, same rules as previous rips (2/packs per item for the 1st 48 hours, 2 more packs per item the next 48 hours and as many as you want after 96 hours). I am would like to kick off either Saturday or Sunday at 9:00 PM EST. We will have a lot of boxes to choose from.

Yeah, they went up a little. I believe they were $1.88/pack the last two rips.

The other boxes are regular Topps:

Please add the 81 donruss and fleer. I vote for starting on Saturday night so that the 96 hour mark would be Wednesday night so we can close it out by Thursday sometime. This would allow payments on Friday and through the weekend possibly getting us our cards sooner. Thanks for organizing again!! :-)

Sorry, I misunderstood what you were saying. He does have OPC WAX PACKS of those years, just not wax boxes. I figured most people would want to rip from a full box.

I thought Favre was in the Series 3 wax boxes.

1991 Stadium Club is a single series with the Favre RC
1992 Stadium Club is in 3 series with the Favre card in the 3rd Series (This is a rarer card than his RC though)

Yes, it would be 1 box/person using the same timeframe rules.

Custom352 - We can try and do the Stadium Club FB as well.

BruceinGa - You can look up the past breaks (type in Official 2012 BBCE PSA Group Break #10 - Group Rip Closed. TIME TO PAY!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! in the search field.) It will show you all th rules. But in a nutshell, you can reserve 2 packs (or 1 box if there is a case break) for the first 48 hours. After 48 hours you can reserve 2 additional packs/1 box. After 96 hours, you can reserve as much as you want. Once all the packs/boxes are sold out, you will call BBCE to pay or pay via paypal.

Mark, one thing to consider for us East coast guys is the pending hurricane landfall. We may lose power for days, and not be able to participate. Not trying to rush the start, just wanted to make sure that is factored.

That's a good point. I haven't heard yet if it was going to actually make landfall yet. I was going to start it tomorrow night. Do you think this would work?

I am not going to be able to get the rip going tonight unfortunatly. I just emailed Steve the list of what we want to bust and it is a big lot (only $12K but 88 boxes and 72 racks). I am going to try and get the rip going tomorrow night at 9:00 pm EST. That should give everyone at least 24 hours to reserve packs in case the storm does make landfall. Let me know your thoughts.
