a good old fashioned in person trade

Met up with a local guy today and did some trading. Haven't done a face to face trade for a while so it was pretty nice. Got to talk cards, plus picked up some nice cards for my Indians sets! I'm not sure anybody other than a Tribe fan will appreciate the haul, but I am pretty excited.

What's not to appreciate, even if those aren't Cubs? What were some of the cards that you traded away? That seems like a pretty decent trade dollarwise.
  • had some stars from my 1960 set I split up. Figured if I was going to sell them and buy Indians I might as well take out the middle man and just do a big ole' trade.

    Dan,

Awesome trade. I am doing the same thing you are with my Reds collection. Trust me, I appreciate picking up the high grade common of your favorite team that no one recognizes. LOL.

    Dan,

I am definitely NOT an Indians fan, but those cards are AWESOME! Happy to see that you were able to add to your extensive Indians collection. Last time I did an in person TRADE, I think I was sitting on the front steps of Pete's Deli here on Long Island in 1967. Used my quarter weekly allowance, bought 5 packs of cards and sat with a friend trading card for card! LOL
    STAY HEALTHY!

Liquidating my collection for the 3rd and final time. Time for others to enjoy what I have enjoyed over the last several decades. Money could be put to better use.
  • The '50 Bowman Larry Doby is *%$@#%& AWESOME. Excellent pick up from one Tribe fan to another.

Good stuff, the Larry Doby is really nice. Like the Feller too! What did the other guy walk away with?

    Appreciate today-

Yeah, I love the Doby and I think for the grade it is a sweet looking card. I've always loved the 49 Bowman Wynn to, so I'm glad to finally own one.
