MS62
Believe it or not, this 1913-S Saint I cracked out of an NTC holder....Grade was MS61.
<< <i>Doubled dies are varieties of a particular date. I'm not sure that makes them a "key date" though. >>
That`s why I added a ?
Here is a semi-key I own.

94 50c
1895 O Barber Dimes in fine and very fine are the only two US key dates I can think of.
1908-S 1909-S IHC in PCGS MS63/64RB (All have lots of red)
1938-D walker 50c in PCGS MS63/64
1921 Peace 1$ in PCGS MS63/64
1909-S VDB in PCGS OGH MS60 and AU58
1955 DDO 1c in PCGS OGH AU55
1914-D PCGS VF35
1877 IHC OGH PCGS VG10
1921-D Walker 50c OGH PCGS VG10 x 2
1914-S 25c PCGS OGH F15
Thats all I can think of at the momment.
Thinking about trading most of these off for bullion.
I do prefer my seated quarters but i can appreciate (and on occasion purchase) nice examples of these dates!
1877, 1908-S, 1909-S Indian, '09-S VDB, 14-D, 31-S in cents
1885, 1886, 12-S for nickels
1895-O, 1916-D dimes
1892-O,S 1897-S, 1914-S, 1932-D, S quarters
1892-O, 1896-S, 1921-PDS halves
1921 Peace
Of them, the 1877 is the most individually desireable.
<< <i>Nothing I would personally consider a key date, although I have a few semi-keys. >>
Yep, some semi-Key dates.......but mostly high condition rarity. One step down from the next from where it jumps exponentially.
Many may disagree with the way I collect but it works for me.

I don't think anyone could look at the pictures of your coins and see the obvious joy and excitement you have for collecting and disagree with the way you collect.
My icon IS my coin. It is a gem 1949 FBL Franklin.

21 Peace
28 Peace
Many of thr coins you have listed with ?? are probably considered semi-keys. i do not think the 1983DDR or 1984DDO cents would qualify for this list.
The 1916 SLQ would probably be considered a key?
In uncirculated grades, the 1921-S walker would be considered a key?
Also perhaps adding gold coins in a separate 20th century coinage list? You may want to call this a copper, nickel and silver 20th century list. Otherwise, you leave out too many key gold coins which so few can afford!
Have fun with the list!

1907 Wire Edge Indian Eagle
1907 Wire Edge Saint
large cents: 1799, two '23/2's, '39/6, along with semi keys like the '09, '11, and '21
multiple 09S IHC's and Lincolns.
1880 shield nickel, business strike.
All buffalo nickel keys except the overdate and 16/16.
1894, 1895 dimes.
Several 21P and D dimes.
32D and S quarters (which are far more common than than the semikey Barbers I'm not listing)
All the walker keys, including five 21P's in Fine or better.
1811 ½¢ PCGS 8
1922 No D Strong Rev 1¢ PCGS F/cleaned
1822 10¢ PCGS 3
1844 10¢ PCGS 8 (OK, more of a pseudo key)
1938-D 50¢ PCGS 63
1903-S Micro S $1 PCGS 30
Also a handful of semi-key dollars or dates that are not really keys in the grades that I have them in, such as AU58 94-O, 96-O, 83-S. I don't have the "big ones" (89-CC, 93-S, 94), though.

Great coins, boiler78 -- though I know many love the double eagle (with good reason) -- looking at those pieces, the Indian Eagle is my fave gold design. Beautiful!
