OT - met some folks I've admired for a LONG time...

Sorry for the vanity post, but I took my son to his first Rush concert last week in Toronto and we werre fortunate enough to have meet and greet passes. My first Rush concert was April 1983...the Signals tour. We have some prime seats for this Friday's show in Buffalo...

    Very cool!

I've seen Rush twice - first time was six years ago and I took my then 14-year-old daughter. We had an absolute blast. Saw them again a couple summers ago with our very own thunderdan - as part of the set they played Moving Pictures in its entirety, which was extremely cool.

Please tell me the guy that's second from the left (next to who I presume is Lifeson) isn't Neil Peart.

No....that's me. Neil doesn't do the meet & greets...he really meant that line about not pretending a stranger is a long awaited friend.

I briefly wondered the same thing. Peart wears a kofia during performances (although a wikipedia entry says he wears a tubeteika), and the OP seems to be wearing something similar. I took a little closer look at the face and decided it wasn't Peart.

I wasn't expecting "folks" to be Rush! Nice! Congrats on the M&G! I've seen em a couple times already on this tour, and will be catching them once more in Cleveland on Sunday. As another long time fan (though not as long as you) of this great band, still going strong, I say, "Cheers!" image

It's cool to see fathers and sons (or daughters) going to Rush shows together!
  • That is VERY cool!!

    Best intro ever... Lil'Rush

I never got to see them, but would have loved to. I can't seem to get myself to spend that kind of cash on those tickets.

  • Very cool! I saw them the past two years during the Time Machine tour...although I wouldn't hold any stock in the R&R HOF...it's good to see that they got nominated for 2013....they should get in...very overdue.

    Phenomenal!

Looks like we have a bunch of Rush fans on this board...I'm as die hard as they come

We have 3rd row tickets for the Clockwork Angels tour coming up in November in Anaheim...can't wait!
