King Nan province? what is this? can someone please help?

Hi, a friend asked me to find out what this is.
He thinks it is a pattern dollar. Unfortunately neither of us does speak the lingo or know the coin.
He thinks it could be expensive.
can you guys please help?

    Kiang nan province dollar counterfeit. The weight is WAY off from an authenic dollar.

    very true, but this one is Copper!, Not silver.
    also the thickness is other than the silver coins.
    My friend thinks it could be a pattern?

    No, not magnetic. must be non-ferrous metal. looks like copper. even still has some original luster spots on some places

    Production quality on a pattern should be much higher in my opinion.

    Mule means the reverse doesn't match the obverse. I can't find anything that matches in Kann, which was a very extensive collection. Couldn't find it in Chang either.

    The denticles on the reverse don't look right and the piece kind of has an artificially aged look.

    Don't give up on it, but I'm not optimistic it's anything but a modern concoction of some kind.

    You never know - send pictures around.

    I wouldnt advise sending it to a TPG - they send anything fishy back in a body bag as "questionable"

    I wonder if it is a contemporary counterfeit. I don't have any hard evidence, just a hunch. I look forward to hearing the results.

    results are back and it is....a FAKE..
    everyone says it is a fake beyond any daubt.
    Nobody wants the coin in their auctions..
