My favorite purchase from this year's National

Saw this poor lonely 1965 Mantle at this year's national in Baltimore and since I don't own a 1965 Mantle, I sprung for the $13.00 negotiated price. Sent it in to PSA and got the grade I expected. It is nicely centered and after all it is a Mantle!

Nicely centered for the grade, LOL!

Collecting 1970s Topps baseball wax, rack and cello packs, as well as PCGS graded Half Cents, Large Cents, Two Cent pieces and Three Cent Silver pieces.
  • One just sold on ebay for $63 on Oct 11th so I'd say you did great actually.

Anytime you can pick up a Mantle (without any pieces missing) for $13.00, you have to buy it. Find 10 of them each day and you found a full time job!

Liquidating my collection for the 3rd and final time. Time for others to enjoy what I have enjoyed over the last several decades. Money could be put to better use.

Agreed. I've never heard of a legit vintage Mantle for under $20 period.

    Thanks,
